Terms of service
The rules of using Tankonomy: the account, purchases, in-game currency and what happens if they are broken. Last updated 31 August 2026.
1. Who these terms are with
Tankonomy (the «game») is operated by [Company legal name, form of incorporation], registration number [Registration number], registered at [Street, city, postal code], [Country] («we», «us»). Contact: support@tankonomy.net.
By creating an account or playing you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the game.
2. Who can play
The game is intended for players aged 12 and over: an abstract confrontation between machines, with no depiction of people and no realistic violence. If the age of digital consent in your country is higher than your age, a parent or guardian must accept these terms for you.
Purchases require a valid payment method that you are entitled to use.
3. Your account
One person, one account. A second account created to get around a limit or a restriction is a breach of these terms.
You are responsible for keeping your password. We store it only as a salted hash and cannot read it, which is also why it cannot be «sent as a reminder» — it can only be reset. A signed-in session lasts 30 days and then asks you to sign in again.
An account is personal. Selling, buying, renting or sharing accounts is not permitted, and neither is playing on someone else's behalf for reward.
4. The licence you get
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the game and its content for your own entertainment. The game, its code, art, sounds and machine designs stay ours.
You may record and stream your own play, including monetised video, as long as the game is named. You may not resell the game, extract its assets for other products, or present it as your own work.
5. In-game currency and purchases
Tokens are a licence to use in-game content, not money and not a deposit. They have no value outside the game, do not earn interest and are not transferable between accounts.
Purchases are made in euro through InfraServEdge, our payment processor. The smallest purchase is €5, the largest €5 000. Tokens are credited only after the processor confirms the payment — a card charged and a token balance that has not moved means the confirmation has not arrived yet, and it will.
An advantage in battle is not for sale. Money buys time, convenience, appearance and insurance against your own mistake. In ranked battles machine stats are normalised and upgrades are switched off, so nothing bought has any effect there at all.
Credits, XP and blueprints are not sold for tokens. The single exception is the exchange in the shop, and it is capped: 100 tokens per portion, 5 portions a day, each portion worth less than the one before it — around an hour and a half of play a day at the ceiling.
6. Refunds and withdrawals
You may ask for a refund of an unspent purchase within 14 days by writing to support@tankonomy.net. Tokens already spent in the game are consumed content and are not refundable.
Separately from refunds, the game allows a withdrawal of purchased tokens that are still unspent, at 80 % of the money that brought them in, from €5. A withdrawal goes back to a card you have verified with a €0.01 charge, and only that card. Tokens earned in the game, received as a gift or granted by support cannot be withdrawn: no money came in for them.
A withdrawal that the bank rejects returns the tokens to your balance — the game does not keep both.
7. Fair play
Every turn is validated by the server: the client asks, the server decides. Modifying the game, automating play, exploiting a defect instead of reporting it, arranging the outcome of a battle, or working together to farm tasks are all breaches of these terms.
Battles with a friend do not advance daily and weekly tasks — that rule exists in the game itself, so that an evening of arranged battles is worth nothing.
Abusive nicknames, harassment and impersonating our staff are breaches as well.
8. What happens if a rule is broken
Depending on what happened we may warn you, reverse in-game gains, restrict a feature, suspend the account temporarily or close it. We aim to answer an appeal sent to support@tankonomy.net within five working days.
If an account is closed for a breach, unspent tokens are not refunded. If we close an account for our own reasons — the game shutting down, for instance — unspent purchased tokens are refunded on request.
9. Availability and changes
The game is a live service: rules of battle, balance and prices change, and machines, formats and features are added and occasionally removed. Large changes are announced in the news beforehand.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, incidents and network faults happen; a battle interrupted by an outage on our side does not count as a defeat.
These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did; continued play after a change means you accept the new version. If a change materially reduces what you have already bought, you may ask for a refund of the unspent part.
10. Liability
The game is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost in-game progress caused by circumstances outside our control, or for the acts of other players.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms, including the right to a remedy for a service that is not as described.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [Country / jurisdiction], and the courts of [Country / jurisdiction] have jurisdiction — without depriving a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of their own country of residence.
Before going to court, please write to support@tankonomy.net: most disputes end there. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
